The Mitsubishi Group (Mitsubishi Corp. Mitsubishi) is a loose entity, consisting of many independent companies (about 300 companies) after the breakup of the Mitsubishi Zaibatsu, most of which retain the name "Mitsubishi" in their corporate names.
