brief introduction

Haikyo:Japan's Urban Exploration Network is The site was founded by Jordy Meow, who travels through the streets of Japan with his camera, specializing in taking pictures of places that are not known to the people.

The word " haikyo" literally means "ruin" in Japan, but it has become synonymous with a pastime that we more often refer to as urban exploration, or "urbex" for short. Urban exploration does not necessarily involve just exploring towns and cities, but remote country structures, islands and even natural structures such as caves.

An increasingly urbanized country, many of Japan's youth and workforce have moved away from their remote hometowns, which are often terrible places to live, and with the retrenchment of spending power and the ever-changing cities, some industries have declined due to the shrinking economy, and there is no one to talk to. Jordy Meow took 4-5 months to shoot, and after posting it to the website, it attracted a lot of hits.
