Kawai (Musical Instruments Manufacturing Co., Ltd.; abbreviated: KAWAI), the second largest piano manufacturer in the world and the official piano of the Arthur Rubens International Piano Masters Competition and the Chopin International Piano Competition, was founded by Koichi Kawai. Koichi Kawai originally worked for Yamaha before setting up his own business.
