is a Japanese children's illustration art site, Iwaki Born on December 15, 1918, Chihiro Iwasaki began to learn oil painting and sketching at the age of 14 and calligraphy at the age of 18. The comic strip drama My Mother (1949) was her debut work.

Her paintings blend the developed Western watercolors with traditional Eastern She has created a unique dynamic and delicate expression by fusing Western developed watercolors with traditional Eastern painting techniques. She was awarded the Graphic Prize at the Bologna International Children's Book Fair (1973) and the Bronze Prize at the Leipzig International Book Fair (1974), and died of liver cancer in the fall of 1973 on August 8, 1974. He was 55 years old.

Children were a constant theme of Chihiro's life. Even without a model, she was able to draw the difference between a 10-month-old and a one-year-old child. 9,300 pieces of her artwork contain a variety of children's postures. The artist's keen observation and excellent painting skills are evident.

Throughout her life, Chihiro has longed for peace, especially for the children of the world to live in peace and happiness. Therefore, her paintings are based on the theme of children and flowers. Perhaps it is because she experienced war as a child, so she keeps depicting the glory of small life to tell the preciousness of peace.
