The Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF), the air component of the Japanese Self-Defense Force, is restricted by the post-World War II peace constitution, so its establishment and weapons are defense-oriented, not equipped with strategic bombers, ballistic missiles, and nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons. Despite this, due to excellent training, advanced technology, and close exchanges with the U.S. military, the JASDF has become the strongest air force in East Asia, in addition to the U.S. Pacific Air Forces.
