Marine ecological research research vessel

Rosellinisfour- 10 is the world's largest scientific research vessel, built in cooperation with Kjell Inge Røkke and WWF Norway, to study the marine ecosystem and help clean up marine debris.

Kjaer Inge Røkke is a fisherman by trade and energy. The vessel is designed for research and expedition activities aimed at solving environmental problems in the ocean and will cruise in the Arctic and tropical regions. The speedboat will also be available for charter from time to time for recreational use, and the rentals will support the vessel's and maintenance costs.

The yacht will be equipped with scientific equipment provided by WWF to monitor and explore the marine environment from the atmosphere to 6000 meters below the seafloor and even 20 meters below the seabed. The ship is equipped with modern laboratories, an auditorium, two helipads and AUVs, as well as equipment for live broadcasting. The ship is green in color, with a more silent paddle structure, special materials for noise isolation, and an LED system for lighting. The sealed compartment also prevents cross-contamination of the species under study.

The yacht is expected to pick up 5 tons of plastic waste per day and recycle it, but the method of cleaning up is still being studied. A special incinerator will reduce toxic gas emissions. The ship is also equipped with an efficient heat recovery system and a seawater-cooled air conditioning system.

The yacht is a diesel-electric hybrid with a speed of up to 17 knots (about 31.5 km/h). At 50% of maximum capacity, it can travel 21,120 nautical miles (about 39,114 km) at a speed of 11 knots per hour, which is approximately the equatorial circumference. The yacht can carry 90 people; for heavy scientific missions, it can be expanded to 60 scientists and 40 crew members; for expeditions and charters, it can accommodate up to 36 tourists. The ship can store food for 90 people for 114 days, and longer trips can be accommodated with the addition of refrigerated containers.
