Cathay Pacific Airways Limited (Cathay Pacific) was founded on 24 September 1946 by American Roy C Farrell and Australian Sydney H de Kantzow as the first airline to provide civil aviation services in Hong Kong. It is a member of the Swire Group and a founding member of oneworld, with Hong Kong International Airport as its hub. Its subsidiaries include Dragonair and AHK Airways.
