Nepal People's Bank (Nepal Rastra Bank, the central bank of Nepal and a member of the Asian Clearing Union, was founded in 1965. The bank's main responsibilities are to supervise Nepal's commercial banks and direct monetary policy, examine foreign exchange rates and the country's foreign exchange reserves.
