The Durban University of Technology (DUT) is a public university in South Africa, located in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal (with two other campuses in Peter Maritzburg), and was founded in 2002 by Technikon Natal and ML Sultan Technikon. It was created in 2002 by the merger of Technikon Natal and ML Sultan Technikon and has about 26,000 students.
