The Star is a newspaper owned by the Malaysian Media Group and is the most widely circulated Chinese language daily in Southeast Asia. After its resumption in 1988, its circulation has been increasing and it has become the largest Chinese language daily newspaper outside of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
