The Irrawaddy Magazine is an independent Burmese media outlet in exile in Thailand. Published in both English and Burmese, Irrawaddy focuses on Burma, although it also covers other Southeast Asian countries to some extent. It is considered to be the earliest Burmese news publication dealing with political, social, economic and cultural developments.
