Kviff:Karlovy Vary International is Kviff:Karlovy Vary International is one of the world's oldest film festivals. As one of the nine A-list film festivals in the world, it became the most popular stage for Chinese films in the 1950s. Founded in 1946, the festival has held 43 editions until 2008.

The main purpose of the festival is to fight for peace, for human happiness and for the freedom of nations. The festival has been officially awarded since 1948. The highest award is the "Crystal Globe" (divided into the Grand Prize and the Main Prize), followed by the Special Jury Prize and the "Liditzer Rose Award". In addition, there are awards for directors, actors and actresses, screenwriters, cinematographers, honorable mentions, the World Progress Award, the New Talent Competition Award, the Freedom Competition Award, the International Friendship Award, etc.
