Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is a government agency under the Department of Public Safety of Canada and Canada's premier intelligence agency, established in 1984. CSIS's main tasks are security, intelligence, counter-intelligence, anti-subversion, counter-terrorism, electronic surveillance, external tracking, wiretapping, and recruitment and dispatch of intelligence personnel.
