Via Rail Canada is the English and French name of the Canadian railroad. In Chinese, it can also be referred to as Canadian National Railway, VIA Railway, or VIA National Railway. Via Rail is a Canadian state-owned corporation that provides long-distance and intercity passenger rail services, and became an independent corporation on January 12, 1977.
