Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra (Dutch: Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest) is the second largest orchestra in the Netherlands, after the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam, and was founded in 1918 under the name of "Artistic Training Institute for Professional Musicians". It was founded in 1918 under the name of "Professional Musicians' Artistic Training Institution".
