VangoghMuseum: The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, was built in 1973 and is noted for its collection of 200 of Van Gogh's most valuable paintings from his golden age, as well as almost all of Van Gogh's letters; it also hosts numerous exhibitions on various topics related to 19th century art history.

The museum also houses the Van Gogh and brother Theo The museum also has a collection of Japanese ukiyo-e and other works by painters such as portraits of Van Gogh by Gauguin and Lautrec, and self-portraits by Gauguin and Bernard.

When the Van Gogh Museum was built, it was small in size, designed to accommodate 60,000 people per year. But in recent decades, Van Gogh's fame has grown, with more than a million visitors each year, and the new Van Gogh Museum of Art, designed by the world's Japanese Kisho Kurokawa, was later renovated.
