Uva.nl:Amsterdam, The Netherlands The University is a prestigious, long-established top 100 university in the world and one of the largest comprehensive universities in Europe; it has produced six Nobel Prize winners, including three Nobel Prize winners in physics and one each in peace, medicine and chemistry; it has an international focus and offers more than 85 master's programs taught in English. It has also produced seven winners of the Spinoza Prize.

The University of Amsterdam ( University of Amsterdam, Dutch for Universiteit van Amsterdam, abbreviated as UvA), founded in 1632, is located in the center of Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. It is also a member of the Universitas 21, the European Union of Research Universities and the European Capital Universities.

The library of the University of Amsterdam has a collection of nearly 4 million books. The library also has special collections such as rare manuscripts, letters and maps. All of the library's collections are free and open to all students and faculty. The library and its Learning Center have 2,600 study spaces, 1,100 of which are equipped with computers, and the entire library is covered by wireless Internet. The museum has a large collection of rare and valuable objects. The Allard Pierson Museum houses a large collection of artifacts from ancient Egypt, the Middle East, Greece, and the Roman Empire.
