brief introduction

Tilburg University is located in Tilburg, the sixth largest city in the Netherlands. It is a highly international university, founded in 1927 as a school of economics, and has grown into a government-funded comprehensive university with five faculties and nearly 25,000 students. The University has six faculties - Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Humanities and Tienienenbosch School of Business - offering a wide range of degree programs. The Tilburg University Institute of Economics is one of the best economic research institutions in Europe, and in April 2001 Tilburg University's business program was accredited by AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). In April 2001, the University was awarded the AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation, making it one of only 13 departments in Europe to receive this accreditation.
