brief introduction

Eindhoven University of Technology (abbreviated as TU/e, Dutch for Technische Universiteit Eindhoven), formerly known as Eindhoven University of Technology, was founded by the Dutch government on June 15, 1956. The former Technische Hogeschool Eindhoven was founded by the Dutch government on June 15, 1956. TU/e was founded in 1956 as a polytechnic school and has grown into a medium-sized polytechnic university with eight faculties. It is the second largest university in the Netherlands, after Delft University of Technology. Its main research areas are energy (especially clean energy), life sciences (medicine and medical devices) and smart mobility (advanced electric vehicles, intelligent transportation, etc.).
