brief introduction

Cheongwadae (청와대; English: Cheongwadae/Blue House) is the official residence of the President of Korea, located at No. 1, Jongno-gu, Seoul, which was originally an outlying palace of the Goryeo Dynasty and was later changed to the backyard of Gyeongbokgung Palace after the establishment of the capital of the Joseon Dynasty in 1426. Cheongwadae has a presidential office, a reception hall, a meeting room, a living room, a secretariat room, a police room and a welcome building. The main building is covered with green tiles, hence its name.
