Jeonju University, a major local university in Korea, was established on January 9, 1964, initially as a Christian university, then taken over by the New East Asia Group in December 984, and gradually developed into a national outstanding private comprehensive university, with the College of Humanities, the Department of Christian Studies, the Department of Language and Culture, the Department of Law and Politics, the Department of Social Sciences, the College of Business and Economics, and other departments.
