The Daily Economy accurately predicted this economic and financial disaster and provided advice to the Korean government on how to deal with this terrible financial crisis. As a result of the Daily Economy's accurate and timely forecasts and recommendations, Korea copied the newspaper's policy recommendations almost unchanged after it fell into the financial crisis, so much so that the newspaper was later hailed as Korea's lifesaver.
