Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is located in Daejeon, Korea. KAIST is one of the few universities outside the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education in Korea, and is directly under the Ministry of Science and Technology, abbreviated as "KAIST" in English.
