The Partido Liberal Pilipinas (PLP) is the ruling party of the Philippines and the oldest political party in the country. It was founded in 1946 by Manuel Roxas, the fifth president of the Philippines, after a split from the Nationalist Party of the Philippines in November 1945. The current president is President Aquino III of the Philippines.
