Pravda (English: Pravda; Russian: Пра́вда) is a famous Russian media newspaper, which was formerly the organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1918 to 1991; it was suspended by order of Russian President Yeltsin in 1991; shortly afterwards, its eponymous newspaper began to be sold. In 1999, the former "Pravda" created the most visited online news site in Russia - Truth Online.
