The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) is an international federation of trade union organizations from around the world, officially established on November 1, 2006, with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria. It aims to defend workers' rights in an era of globalization. The establishment of the federation marked the end of the "cold war" of the global trade union movement by uniting the unions representing 175 million workers in 154 countries on five continents.
