The IF Design Award (IF Design Award) was founded by the German IF (International Forum Design) Hannover International Forum Design GmbH in 1953. Has a long history of more than 63 years, to revitalize industrial design as the purpose, to promote the concept of design innovation, once a year, is known as one of the most important awards of the global design competition, with the "Oscars of design" reputation.

As the world's most influential design award, this year's iF design award once again saw a record number of entries: some 2,500 entries from 53 countries submitted nearly 5,300 entries, an increase of more than 500 entries over the previous year. A jury of international experts selected about 25 percent of the entries for the iF design award in seven categories: product, packaging, communication, service design, interior architecture, and architectural and professional concepts. The 75 entries with the most outstanding designs received the highest honor, the iF Gold Award. This year, 229 entries from China received iF design awards, including one gold award.

The German iF design gold award is the most valuable award among all IF awards. The "German iF Design Gold Award" is not only the recognition of a product's outstanding design quality in the international arena, but also means that the product has received the greatest degree of recognition in the design and commercial arena.
