Founded in Germany in 1876 by Henkel Fritz Henkel, the company invented the world's first self-acting laundry detergent with borate salt as the main raw material in 1907, which greatly reduced the labor intensity of housewives and gave birth to the "Poynting" brand. The "Poying" brand was thus born. The Henkel Group currently produces more than 10,000 products worldwide, which are closely related to people's lives. By product category, Henkel is divided into six business units: chemical products, surface treatment technology, industrial and residential adhesives, cosmetic and beauty products, household detergents and cleaning agents, and industrial and institutional hygiene products.

Henkel's China operations began in 1988 with 18 companies and representative offices in China, with a total investment of more than US$300 million and more than 2,800 employees, producing and distributing all Henkel Group products for civil and industrial use.
