The name Audi can be traced back to the late 19th century, when Audi was founded in 1910. After graduating from the university, the founder, Horch, had a long career in the machinery manufacturing industry. The theory, practice, and experience are all in one. Later, Horch finally realized his wish to design cars. He used the Latin name of his former company, Audi, to name the new company.
