Borgward History:

The history of Borgward dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. At that time, in Bremen, Germany, there were a number of newborn car brands in the struggle. The then young industrial businessman Karl Borgward saw the opportunity to merge some brands and formed a car company named after himself - the Borgward Motor Company.

In 1924, the first car with the brand name of Bogwald was introduced, named "Lightning Car". From the picture, the three-wheeled "lightning car" is more like our present-day trampoline. In the following 30 years, despite the war, Borgward introduced more than ten sedans and more than twenty trucks, and even a few racing cars and a helicopter. In particular, the 1954 Borgward "Isabella" car was a global hit and became a popular car for European and American celebrities. The "Borgward Isabella" even became synonymous with industrial elegance for a time.

In 1961, creditors forced Borgward Motors to close down. Two years later, Karl Borgward died.

But until his death, Karl Borgward always believed that the company's collapse was not inevitable, that it could have survived the crisis, but that there was a business conspiracy in the industry that caused the brand to disappear after almost half a century of operation.

Looking back at the growth path of the brand, Bogwald, the high-end is its line, the price is comparable to Mercedes-Benz, its technology is also noteworthy, especially air suspension and automatic transmission for Bogwald once won a lot of attention.
