The Berlin Zoo is the first zoo in German history and one of the largest zoos in the world, located in the center of Berlin, which was originally a private garden for the feudal gentry. It occupies about 35 hectares of land and has thousands of animals, including birds, amphibians, reptiles and mammals, with a total of over 10,000 animals. The zoo has a huge aviary for several hundred species of birds and an unusually large natural open-air enclosure.
