The Danish College of Design was founded in 1967 and is located in the city of Kolding, Denmark. It is a private school whose educational objective is to produce professional designers with a high level of competence, international perspective, sociological, philosophical and anthropological knowledge background, as well as a democratic, innovative, collaborative and socially responsible spirit, capable of completing complex design projects. The College of Design has approximately 380 students, 270 undergraduate and 112 graduate students. The School of Design is divided into five departments: Form and Theory, Fashion and Textiles, Visual Communication, Industrial Design and Interactive Media, and Ceramics. The school is located in the industrial triangle of the Jutland Peninsula, which facilitates cooperation with industrial and commercial enterprises. The language of instruction is Danish, but most teachers and students can speak English.
