The International Military Sports Council (Conseil International du Sport Militaire, CISM, IMSC, commonly referred to as the International Military Sports Council, IMSC), founded in 1948 and headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, is an international military sports It is an international military sports organization with 133 members (2014). The purpose of the International Military Sports Council is to promote friendship through sport and to foster friendly relations among member militaries through the creation of various military sports competitions. China joined the International Council of Military Sports in 1978.
