The International University Sports Federation ( The International University Sports Federation (FISU) was founded in 1919 as the International Federation of Intercollegiate Athletics (FIE).

In September 1949, the FISU was officially established. There are now 162 members of the association. The official languages of FISU are English, French, Russian and Spanish, and the working languages are English and French.

It is an independent and comprehensive international sports organization, with no affiliation with the International Olympic Committee and other international sports organizations, but in the organization of various competitions to adopt the rules of the international sports organizations, non-member countries can also participate in its competitions.

The mission of the IUSF is to build its reputation in the university and sports community, to strengthen the existing university sports organizations in each country, to strengthen the links between universities, sports and students through study committees; to provide new economic resources for the development of university sports in each country through contacts with politics, business and the press, and to identify sports through education. The University's athletic programs are designed to provide new economic resources for the development of college athletics in various countries through contacts with the political, business, and journalistic communities, and to establish ethical standards for issues related to sports and education in contemporary society through education to determine sports development programs.
