Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (English: Catholic University of Louvain) is the largest university in Belgium, founded in 1425, and the oldest surviving Catholic university. Since 1968, the University of Louvain has been divided into two universities, KU Leuven (Dutch) and KU Leuven (French). KU Leuven (Dutch) is located in the historical and cultural city of Leuven, a traditional European university town with a wide range of campus properties. In the 2015 QS World University Rankings, KU Leuven (NL) is ranked 82nd.
