The South American Football Federation (CONfederación sudaMEricana de FútBOL, CONMEBOL) is the organizational body responsible for managing soccer affairs in South America. Founded in 1916, it is headquartered in Luque, Paraguay, and its current president is Figueiredo. The important soccer tournaments organized by CONCACAF include the Copa America. The level of each member country of the South American Football Confederation in the six major football associations is the most average, in addition to Venezuela, the rest of the member countries have entered the World Cup finals stage.
