SmarTone Mobile Communications (Macau) S.A. is a joint venture company established by SmarTone Telecommunications Group Ltd. and the Wui Yip Financial Group. The company was licensed by the Macau Special Administrative Region in October 2000 to operate a GSM mobile network and officially launched its services in Macau in July 2001.
