The Australian Embassy in China is administered by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and has 14 functional departments, including the Political, Economic, Commercial, Defence, Visa, Education, Innovation and Science, Development and Cooperation, and Information and Culture Departments, and the Ambassador in China has full authority to represent the Australian Government in the People's Republic of China.
