The National Museum of Ireland ( National Museum of Ireland) is the national comprehensive museum of the Republic of Ireland, it has three branches in Dublin and one in County Mayo, officially opened in 1890, with the Department of Irish Antiquities, the Department of Decorative Arts and History, the Department of Irish Folklife, and the Natural History Branch.

The Irish National Museum's collection is up to 4 million items. The collection of 4 million items is primarily concerned with Irish art, culture and natural history; it contains a wide range of objects from prehistoric to medieval Ireland, including ancient artifacts, works of art, goldwork, insect specimens, decorative arts, political, military and social history.
