Tanta University is a comprehensive university in Egypt, its predecessor was founded in 1962 as Tanta College of Medicine, officially renamed Tanta University in 1973. Tanta University opened the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Business, Faculty of Arts and other faculties, as well as a nursing school.
